Systems Engineering Lead (2009-013)
Job Description
- Provide technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of systems engineering processes and practices. Plan, conduct, and lead assignments across the spectrum of SE&I elements. Create, manage, and implement Verification and Validation plans for deliverable hardware.
- Provide guidance and direction of the required tasks, management, and control of funds and resources. May manage many tasks with a staff of engineers. Provide experience and leadership to SE&I team. Projects will cover development from inception to deployment. Will interface with customer representatives.
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead core systems engineering functions: implementation of Configuration Management Plan and processes; implementation of Data Management Plan and processes; Implementation of Risk Management Plan and processes
- Support other program functions: Program Management, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Production
- Create and implement staffing and training plans
- Support major program reviews
Job Qualifications
- Requires at least 10 years of related experience.
- Requires BS or equivalent degree in Engineering or Science. Prefer candidates with advanced degree(s) in Engineering or a related academic field.
- Prefer candidates with in-depth knowledge of and experience with NASA Systems Engineering practices and processes from product development through qualification and production.
- Prefer candidates with hardware program experience, specifically with implementing systems engineering practices such as verification and validation, to hardware projects.
- Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing are a plus.
- Prefer candidates with experience managing people.
- Prefer candidates with experience with Earned Value Management (and/or resource management).
Configuration Management / Data Management Engineer (2009-014)
Job Description
- Reporting to senior personnel, lead configuration management and data management activities. Work closely with Systems Engineering Lead and project engineers to effectively apply Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) practices across the program.
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- CM/DM planning and management
- Configuration Identification: review and flow down customer requirements, drawings, specs, etc.; identification of baselines
- Configuration Change Management: run internal drawing change boards, implement customer changes - Configuration Status Accounting and Configuration Verification
- Support other program functions: Program Management, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Production
- Support major program reviews
Job Qualifications
- Requires at least 2 years of related experience.
- Requires BS or equivalent degree in Engineering or Science. Prefer candidates with advanced degree(s) in Engineering or a related academic field.
- Prefer candidates with knowledge of and experience with NASA Systems Engineering practices and processes from product development through qualification and production.
- Prefer candidates with hardware program experience, specifically with implementing systems engineering practices such as verification and validation, to hardware projects.
Contracts Accountant/Earned Value Manager (2009-015)
Job Description
- Provide program management support by coordinating and integrating technical projects in the areas of cost accounting and Earned Value Management (EVM). Ensure timely and cost-effective accomplishment of project commitments and/or established goals. Responsible for project administration duties that may span planning, reporting, and project cost control. Projects will cover development from inception to deployment. Will regularly interface with customer and supplier representatives.
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Track, maintain, and manage all cost accounts for large, multi-faceted hardware program(s)
- Provide weekly EVM updates/reports to program and company management
- Create, maintain, and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly EVM reports to customers
- Support other program functions: Program Management, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Production
- Support major program reviews
Job Qualifications
- Requires at least 6 years related experience.
- Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent. Degree in business, or a related academic field preferred.
- Candidates must have experience with Earned Value Management on cost reimbursable contracts (CPFF, CPAF). Candidates must also have understanding of and experience with DCAA compliance and with large company and government cost accounting processes and practices.
- Candidates must have experience with project cost management software such as Deltek Costpoint, Time and Expense, Cognos Impromptu, Unanet, etc. Must also have experience with time-keeping software.
- Prefer candidates with hardware program experience.
Project Planner / Scheduling Lead (2009-016)
Job Description
- Plan, implement, track, and manage project plans and schedules for major hardware contract(s). Ensure timely and cost-effective accomplishment of project commitments and/or established goals. Responsible for project administration duties that may span planning, reporting, and project cost control. Projects will cover development from inception to deployment. Will regularly interface with customer and supplier representatives. May support and/or lead the Risk Management Plan activities.
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Track, maintain, and manage detailed project schedule for large, multi-faceted hardware program(s)
- Support weekly project updates/reports to program and company management
- Support the submittal of weekly, monthly, and quarterly Earned Value Management (EVM) reports to customers
- Support other program functions: Program Management, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering, Production
- Support major program reviews
Job Qualification
- Requires at least 6 years related experience.
- Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- Candidates must be fluent in Microsoft Project.
- Prefer candidates with understanding of and experience with Earned Value Management on cost reimbursable contracts (CPFF, CPAF).
- Experience with project cost management software (and the integration of project schedules) is a plus.
- Prefer candidates with hardware program experience.
