A WOMAN OWNED
SMALL BUSINESS

The Orion Propulsion team places great value on being involved in the community. As a small business, we think it is very important to give something back. Our employees are involved with local activities that benefit both Madison and Huntsville.

Our CEO, Tim Pickens, takes time to speak to local schools and non-profit organizations about rocket science. His portable hybrid motor makes him a popular speaker.

Orion donated an Atlas Vernier (LR-101) rocket motor to the University of Dayton Advanced Rocket Team (UDART) student rocket club. They are currently assembling the rocket for use. The rocket was built by the Great Lakes Society in the mid 1990's and then donated in 2005 to UD as a student project.

Orion Propulsion proudly supports Bob Jones High School's Renaissance Program. This program rewards improvement, effort, leadership, citizenship, and good attendance to students at Bob Jones High School.

We are always looking for ways to improve our community outreach. If you have any suggestions or requests for events, please contact Shar Hendrick.
